Winter Break for NFW athletics
Good morning,
Today is Friday, December 19th. Road conditions are much better than expected this morning. While it remains cold and windy, with a handful of slick spots, all buses will run their regular routes today.
We would like to thank the Road Commissioners and their crews for their continued efforts to keep our roads safe as well as our Transportation Department and Bus Drivers as they transport our students to and from school safely.
Please make sure your student is dressed for the wind and low temps, especially if they will be waiting outside for the bus. As a reminder, today is a 2:00 p.m. dismissal day.

Cuba Fire Department members Steve Howerter, Donnie Eskridge and Garrett Ginglen, along with Fulton County Sheriff's Office dispatcher Keith Wojtkiewicz, shared valuable information with students, families, and community members, covering important fire safety practices, prevention strategies, and emergency preparedness tips. There will be a Community Fire Prevention & Safety Presentation on Wednesday, December 17th at 6:30 PM. This will take place at the Cuba Middle/High School Library and the the Cuba Fire Department will have smoke detectors and fire suppression blankets to give away, along with coloring books, bracelets, helmets , and more for the kids.
After driving and checking road conditions last night and early this morning, we have determined that all buses will continue to operate on EMERGENCY INCLEMENT WEATHER/SNOW ROUTES today, Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
Temperatures are expected to be around 20 degrees or below, and any ice or snow melt from yesterday has refrozen overnight, creating potentially slick conditions on some roads.
We hope to get back to regular routes tomorrow for most if not all of our routes. Thank you for your patience.

The 8th Grade boys basketball Fulton County tournament scheduled for Sat 13th in Canton has been cancelled. They will play on Monday 15th for 3rd place vs Canton at 6:15, good luck!
Jr High Volleyball practice & HS girls basketball practice have been cancelled for today (12-12)...Jr high boys basketball practice will now be at the HS instead of the elementary.
