Congratulations to Tiffany Titlow and Sam Stauffer, the recipients of Cuba Middle-Senior High School’s Golden Apple Award for the months of November and December.
The bulk of both of these teachers’ programs have been delivered remotely all year long. They have had the difficult task of teaching Band/Chorus and PE remotely in the afternoon even during the times we have had students in the building through the morning. Mrs. Titlow has had to learn how to manage almost 100 middle school PE students and one high school PE class remotely each afternoon. She teaches only one class where she has had any students face to face this year. Mr. Stauffer has done the same with his music classes. In order to help with managing class sizes and to offer a music course that was available in the morning, Mr. Stauffer has developed a Music Appreciation course for high school students. Both of these teachers have been extremely flexible in supervising students in other teacher’s classes when needed, either to reduce physical class sizes or when teachers could not be present in the building and were teaching from home. Both Mr. Stauffer and Mrs. Titlow have been readily available to help out when needed for temperature checks in the morning. Thank you both for making the best of a difficult situation and continuing to provide opportunities for Cuba students.
